Centers and Institutes Institute for Design and Construction (IDaC)
For individuals interested in the construction industry, the Construction Technology Program offers the opportunity to become a Construction Project Coordinator (CPC). The CPC certificate provides individuals with the skills needed in the construction industry such as blueprint reading and estimating. Many of the courses are approved by the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DPBR). IDaC is also adding a design category that will include courses for architects to collect CEUs and for intern architects to further their education and assist in ARE preparation.

The Small Business Development Center Fort Lauderdale has assisted hundreds of potential and existing business owners by providing the management advice, training and information needed to make sound business decisions in a complex and ever-changing marketplace.

Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN)
The Florida Public Archaeology Network's mission is to promote and facilitate the conservation, study and public understanding of Florida's archaeological heritage by way of regional centers including the Southeast and Southwest centers hosted at Florida Atlantic University. These grant-funded regional centers provide out-reach, education, and guidance on archaeological issues to visitors, students, local citizens, and public officials. Each year FPAN at FAU contacts over 10,000 people through classes, lectures, trainings, and participation in public events with a goal of protecting Florida’s past for Florida’s future.
