Welcome to the Southern and East African Parliamentary Alliance of Committees of Health (SEAPACOH) website!

The Southern and Eastern African Parliamentary Alliance of Committees of Health (SEAPACOH) is a network of parliamentary committees on health, HIV/AIDS and on equity in health drawn from countries in Southern and Eastern Africa. The alliance works to enhance the effectiveness of the committees in addressing issues of inequity in health, HIV/AIDS, family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) through policy, resource allocation, budgetary oversight and legislative oversight.

Our member countries are: Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Collaborating countries to SEAPACOH include: Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda and Senegal.

This website features a number of resources for our members and partners, including information on past meetings in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. We also have presented some statistical data in a user-friendly format covering population, policy, and financing indicators at our Scorecards page.

Additional resources include the SEAPACOH strategic plan and reports, as well as external resources produced by SEAPACOH partners. These resources can help MPs inform themselves of the latest data and supporting evidence on the linkages between family planning and reproductive health, population and development issues.

Please visit our Scorecards page for more information and indicator data.
