Graduate students can earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Experimental Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology. There are currently 62 graduate students enrolled in our programs. The graduate programs place a strong emphasis on research in addition to coursework and seminars. Students in our program have gone on to successful careers in both academia and industry.
Many faculty are affiliated with the Center for Complex Systems & Brain Sciences, and several conduct research using fMRI of the brain at the FAU Human Imaging Core on the Boca Raton campus. Neuroscience represents a defining area of emphasis at FAU and Department of Psychology faculty actively collaborate with the College of Medicine and College of Engineering in Boca Raton, and with the thriving Jupiter neuroscience community, which includes FAU’s Jupiter Life Science Initiative and the FAU Brain Institute, as well as the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and Scripps Florida Research Institute.
