Resources
The Financial Aid Office at Florida Atlantic University offers students assistance with financial planning and locating a variety of funding sources for loans and scholarships. Federal loans and financial aid are available for undergraduate and graduate students. There are also scholarship opportunities for nursing education available to undergraduate degree students and master's degree students, offered by the University and outside providers. Doctoral students are also eligible for a number of scholarships and fellowship grants.

Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office at Florida Atlantic University provides a service and assistance to students for the purpose of securing the funds necessary to pursue their education.  This Office's goal is to assist with financial planning and locating a variety of funding sources for grants, scholarships and loans depending on the student's financial need.  Please refer to the University's Financial Aid web site http://www.fau.edu/finaid/ for information on:

A completed FAFSA Application (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) is required to receive any financial aid -- including scholarships, grants and loans for federal financial assistance.   

Federal Scholarships for Nursing Education
The Health Resources and Services Administration will accept applications http://www.hrsa.gov/loanscholarships/index.html through June 30 for its fiscal year 2017 Nursing Scholarship Program. The program provides scholarships to eligible nursing students in exchange for at least two years of service at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. HRSA expects to award 220 scholarships this year, with preference given to applicants enrolled or accepted as full-time students in an undergraduate nursing program.

2016-2017 FAFSA Application Is Available!
Students can begin filling out the 2016-2017 online Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA)
beginning January 1, 2016. The FAU priority deadline is March 1, 2016. All applications received after this date will be reviewed in order of receipt. When filling out the application, make sure to complete the planned housing code (on Step 6, Housing Plan, on your FAFSA form) with your appropriate housing status, since leaving this section blank could result in underfunding.

Scholarship Information for Nursing Students
The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing administers supplemental scholarship support for eligible, fully admitted undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students with financial need.  These scholarships are awarded for the Fall and Spring semesters.  The application for academic year, AY 2016 - 17 CLOSED JULY 5, 2016

STUDENTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT FAFSA COMPLETED THROUGH THE FAU FINANCIAL AID OFFICE.
DEADLINE TO APPLY WAS JULY 5, 2016
