9/22:  The Town of Islip was first alerted that there was a problem with electric at the Atlantique Marina when a boater came to the Town Board meeting earlier this week. The Town does not normally turn power off until the marina is winterized. Upon checking, Town officials discovered that the problem was with PSEG. PSEG is working on the problem, which appears to be a break in the line. PSEG reports that they are committed to working diligently to get the power on ASAP, and will continue to be in contact with Town officials. We thank you for your patience.

I encourage residents to vet the organizations they are contributing to, and ensure that their well-intentioned donations end up in the right hands,” - Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.  Read full article here.
