Jump to Titles.  The following programs (movies, TV series, documentaries, or Netflix Originals) are AUDIO DESCRIBED IN ENGLISH on USA Netflix (streaming only).  See also Foreign Description in the USA.  To learn how to access description on Netflix, see our Audio Description Via Netflix page, which also contains the process for reporting a problem.  This listing is provided by the Audio Description Project as a courtesy to people who can't access the list on Netflix because they are not members, or to others who simply find our detailed alphabetized listing more useful.

LAST TITLE UPDATE:  Sep 17, 2019; count = 985 titles.  Generally updated Tuesdays and Fridays; some updates are deletions only.  Additions to this list are usually posted on Twitter and Facebook.  The [Image: Added]   date is the date added here, which may be slightly after Netflix added it.  Occasionally, not all episodes of a series are described.  We try to note this when we find out.  On average, a net of 25 titles have been added to Netflix each month during the past year.  See additional notes at the bottom of this page.

Some series listed below (particularly those from Fox) do not have description for all series years.
Videos are roughly* divided 35%/23%/42% between children (G/PG), teen (PG-13), and adult (R).

SUMMARY:  985 titles.

A note on terminology:  To assist parents, Animated offerings are so-noted; and movies and series identified as being produced by Disney are so-noted.  Movies and series identified as being offered as original Netflix Series or a Netflix Film are also noted.  Some of the official genre names used by Netflix have been modified slightly or multiple genres have been combined into one name (e.g., the Kids genre and the Family genre were combined into "Kids & Family").  When a Pull date is listed, it means this is the date Netflix shows under "Details, Availability"  They sometimes pull these titles from their online listing of AD titles before we do, and occasionally the date is extended, and we rarely know about their pull dates in advance.

•  •  •  •  •

* As of the start of 2019, 13% of the titles were for young children; 22% for older children under 13; 23% were for teens; 41% were for adults, 2% not rated.

** Netflix INTERACTIVE movies have interactive capabilities when viewed on some modern smart TVs, game consoles, Roku devices, and some iOS devices (but not Apple TV, nor Chromecast or Android devices).  Read More Information on Interactive.  We have no idea how this would work for a blind child -- please offer feedback to the webmaster!
