The Planetarium and Observatory are popular and invaluable education and entertainment resources of Stockton-on-Tees Borough council. As part of the Countryside and Greenspace section we work closely with the countryside rangers to promote interest in the environment and natural heritage of the world around and above us.

With the help of local astronomical societies we offer a range of astronomy related events, activities and services aimed at supporting National Curriculum science as well as informing, educating and entertaining schools, colleges, community groups and the general public in all aspects of space science.
